2010 March 29
EL SEGUNDO, Calif., March 29, 2010 -- KCC, a Computershare company and a leading claims and noticing agent, was named “Turnaround Product/Service of the Year” for its Corporate Restructuring Services in The M&A Advisor 2010 Annual Turnaround Awards.
KCC represents the first and only claims and noticing agent to be recognized in the award program, which was created four years ago by M&A Advisor to honor excellence in deal-making in the distressed investing, corporate restructuring and turnaround marketplace. This year, the program identified 99 finalists representing over 30 firms in 27 categories. An independent body of experts that span the turnaround industry determined the final award recipients.
“It is an honor to recognize the achievements and accomplishments of KCC,” said Roger Aquinaldo, CEO, The M&A Advisor. “Despite these hard economic times, they have been able to set an industry standard for supporting influential deals in their industry.”
“We are delighted to be recognized for providing legal and financial professionals with highly responsive service, innovative technology solutions and industry expertise to meet their corporate restructuring administration needs,” said KCC President Jon Orr. “Our success would not be possible without the hard work of our employees and our esteemed clients who continue to rely upon us to support their restructuring cases.”
In its role as a claims and noticing agent for some of the country’s largest Chapter 11 proceedings, KCC provides administrative support services to streamline the corporate restructuring process for corporate debtors and their professionals. KCC clients include CIT Group, Penton Media, Regent Communications, Charter Communications, General Growth Properties, Lear Corporation, Six Flags and Visteon, among many others.
