KCC's public securities specialists bring more than 25 years of experience in domestic and international corporate restructurings and transactions. Both known within the public securities management industry for their work on cases such as Enron, Worldcom and TeleWest, Sharp and Hartie lead a dedicated team of consultants in KCC’s Public Securities Services group. KCC clients that have enlisted the team’s services include Charter Communications, Circuit City, Calpine, Delphi, Movie Gallery, Visteon, Lear, Hartmarx and Pilgrim's Pride.
KCC's Public Securities Services group advises and assists professionals on the mechanics of securities transactions in both domestic and international markets. The group manages and facilitates communication with public securities holders throughout the course of the corporate restructuring process. In a typical case, KCC identifies appropriate securities holders to receive notices; provides notices to public-securities holders; advises on balloting elections, rights offerings and subscription procedures; tabulates ballots and facilitates distributions to securities holders.
In addition, KCC recently expanded its New York offices to stay ahead of clients’ corporate restructuring needs. The expanded office is staffed with the Public Securities Services team, restructuring consulting teams, business development team members and administrative-support staff.
