Quality Assurance Analyst

Overview
Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for all functions related to the testing and verification of KCC Software and System development.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and test cases (or test suites) for any given project
• Test both internal (and external) applications and system changes
• Work with Development to insure quality and timely delivery is achieved
• Work with IT (Information Technology) to efficiently manage the test environments
• Work with Leads and Project Managers to deliver projects at a high level of quality and in a timely manner
  
• Reporting to all levels of management regarding test activities. This includes test results, test analysis and documented plans. It also includes diagnosis and recommendations for improvements, based on testing results

Position Requirements and Skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of QA processes and methodologies
• Experience in each of the major testing types comprising a test cycle including functional, system/integration, regression and error handling
• Experience with relational database systems (i.e. Access, SQL) and methodologies. Must be able to write SQL queries
• Strong working knowledge of the software development and quality lifecycles
• Casual understanding of web application testing
  
• Familiarity with at least one automated test tool; preferably QuickTest or WinRunner. [other examples: Perl*s WebTest or Java*s HttpUnit]
• Strong ability to formulate and communicate a plan
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a team
