Project Specialist

Overview
Work in the interesting and complex world of corporate restructuring and learn from one of the top claims agents in the country. We are currently looking for bright and ambitious individuals to fill the position of Project Specialist. The overall goal of the Project Specialist is to be a resource to both the Operations department and the Consulting department. While not permanently staffed on cases, Project Specialists will play a valuable role in many cases by reviewing documents, tracking document needs from arrival to filing, providing assistance on special projects and possibly traveling to the client for certain projects. The Project Specialist position offers a tremendous growth opportunity into other areas of the company for the right individual.

Responsibilities
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of KCC procedures and rules for indexing and inputting all data
  • Manage case dockets and update KCC public access websites as documents are filed with the court
  • Review documents that have been input into KCC’s technology system
  • Identify and understand relevant documents and their processes in the database such as Proofs of Claim, Notices of Transfer, Ballots, Stipulations, Objections, Settlement Agreements, Notices of Appearance
  • Assist consulting staff with special tasks as needed
  • Attend weekly consultant meetings to remain informed on case status and other issues
  • Travel (up to 25%) to client site for tasks such as contract review and data gathering
  • Input documents such as Ballots, Proofs of Claim, Notices of Transfer, Pleadings
Position Requirements and Skills
  • A four year college degree
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – particularly Excel
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team
  • Be able to thrive in a fast-pace and dynamic work environment
  • Detail oriented, conscientious and reliable
