Return Mail Clerk

Overview
We are currently looking for bright candidates who are organized and detail-oriented to fill the position of Return Mail Clerk.  This position is responsible for sorting, processing and tracking returned mail on a daily basis.  Return Mail Clerks work closely with other departments, ensuring overall compliance with internal processes and procedures.  This position reports to the Mailroom Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Sort and organize large volumes of mail as necessary for cases
  • Prepare and process change of address
  • Input change of address into database
  • Track mailings as needed to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Assist in the preparation of filing Supplement Affidavits of Service 
  • General office duties such as filing, photocopying, mailing documents, etc...
  • Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements and Skills
  • Able to work 15-30 hours per week
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).  Type 40+ WPM.
  • You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced yet highly enjoyable work environment
  • Strong organizational skills.  Must be able to effectively multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to meet tight project deadlines on-time
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to enable effective communication with staff and management at multiple levels
  • Able to lift at least 40 lbs
  • High school diploma, some college coursework completed is a plus
